My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Falling For Hope by Eryn LaPlant is the fourth book in the Falling for Heroes series. This book is screen worthy. The heartfelt emotions on every single page throughout the book are mind blowing. I was held captive by the writing and the words jumping off page at me. The love one most feel carrying a child that may help save another child. Yet with the fear of hoping that said child could be a possible life savior and then worry that it may not.
I literally went from happy to sad back to happy in this book. I felt like I was right there with Alex, Lucy, Elliott and Cameron along with the rest of the family. Lucy melted my heart a woman who takes on someone else's child as her own is a saint. The same goes for Alex. The people in this story capture your heart and hold it in their hands.

Alexander Bronwyn keeps his heart well-guarded, except when it comes to his son, Elliot. When his son’s declining health requires a dire bone marrow transplant, adopted Alexander must delve deeply into his past to find those who share the same DNA.
Elaine Hannel thought she lost her first-born forty years prior during childbirth. That is until he came to her uncovering a decades’ old mystery she didn’t know existed. Shocked, Elaine is forced to relive the past she’d put behind her so long ago, with a former lover and the death of her child she only met for a blink of a moment.
While the rest of the Hannels are confused, and feel deceived, Lucy Brooks is the only person accepting and sympathetic of Alexander and his plight. A single parent herself, she sees in Alex a man who will do anything for his son, no matter the pain and conflict it causes. What she doesn’t see is the soul connection to a man so overburdened with life, all he has left is to let go and let her take some of that away for him.
As if he had no control of his actions, he tucked a loose lock of spun-gold hair behind her ear. He knew he shouldn’t, but he did, nor did he stop there. Skimming the backs of his fingers, he caressed her cheek as supple as a bloomed rose.
“I’m glad I could be there for you,” she said, leaning into his touch.
Alexander licked his lips, wanting—no needing—to kiss her, and pressed himself into soft, full lips. Lucy hummed at first touch, melding in sync with his kiss.
Sweeping his tongue through the delicate parting of her mouth, he could taste her. Cherries, tart and sweet, and buttery pastry lingered on her breath from the pie they shared. It ignited the most primal of senses, and Alexander dove in again. Pure instinct had him gathering her face in his hands and changing the angle of their kiss. The scraping of wood against wood as the chair he absently discarded dragged against the rustic floor, filled his ears like a song of rushed lust.
Lucy jumped up with him, grabbing handfuls of his shirt like a woman on fire. Her intensity revved his own passion. He groaned and lifted her to the table top, still lip-locked and now panting to keep up with his racing heart.
“Alex,” she whispered into his mouth, clawing the shirt from his body. Even if he did come to his senses and slow down, Lucy wouldn’t let him.
