Part 1 of my Review of Love at First Laugh by multiple authors.

Second Impressions by Pepper Basham

Surprise you have a roommate on a vacation you didn't plan! Nora handled this situation with more GRACE than I personally would ever be able to master. The question here though would be did her matchmaking mother arrange this or did his match making uncle, of course this could be just one huge misunderstanding.

This story is lovely and lighthearted. I adored the quick whit in which Nora defended herself for being an AUSTEN NUT. Ethan is a man tired of being used for his money and jumps to conclusions before finding out the facts.

My downside to this particular Novella is that I felt as if I was missing too much between the lines when we switched scenes in book. It would go from a conversation to something else completely and to me that made it feel a little jumpy. I also am not a huge history buff and must confess the Regency period does nothing for me. Not to say the story is set in that time period it just talks a lot about that time.

Mowed Over By Christa Coryell

I adore Willow's sense of humor. At first I was a little worried about her sanity myself but the more I read about her the more I enjoyed her. She has a very creative side and is very entertaining. Poor Clint is so weary of her he isn't sure what to think. I can't say I blame him though she came on a little crazy strong by throwing herself in the path of his mower. Clint is a sweet kind gentleman with a burly mountain man side.. I love the fact he has a beard. I love a beard. The whit between the two made this Novella absolutely entertaining I adored it. The lightness, the faith, as well as the love it was absolutely wonderful.

An Informal Affair by Heather Gray

Best friends or something more? Only the joys of several failed dates with others can answer that question. The laughter of this Novella was absolutely humorous I laughed pretty much the entire way through. I am loving the stories of the failed online dates. The lies people tell and the way people live are very entertaining.  I literally laughed out loud at the Network stowaway Elf. I think it has to be my favorite line in the Novella. I tend to pick apart everything though and my issue with this one would have to be that Lia is way to set on finding her perfect match. It's almost like she lives to find her soulmate and forces Maverick to do the same. To me it made her seem way to needy.

Last Chance Rebel by Maisey Yates

Rebecca and West have both lived in their own personal hell. This is my first book of the series and I want to go back and catch the rest of them. I listened to this one on audio while driving. It was intense dark as well as loving and entertaining. I am unsure of how I feel considering the circumstances of the history of each character.

Rebecca has had a horrible life and been raised by the only member of her family that she feels cares about her and to knowingly disappoint him by becoming involved with the main that has caused them so much pain isn't a viable option in my book. If Gage hadn't been who he was to them I could understand the love between the man and woman. I guess I feel how many of the secondary characters in the book felt about this romance.

To much contrast in this one for me.

Cowboy In The Extreme by Rita Herron

Kim and Brandon have your typical history of a mother not telling a man she was pregnant because she was scorned and than scared of how it would effect his life. Yet later regretted it. Little Lucy was a lovely child who deserved all the Love in the world. I love how they eventually worked past the problems that originally tore them apart and fought to make Lucy the priority.

This story had a slight twist in it but I figured out who the vilan was not long after they were brought into the story.

Stern & Bachelor Untamed by Brenda Jackson

I loved JO JO she was so strong and realized as soon as she had an actual conversation with Walter that he wasn't meant for her. I loved how she told him where to go and how to get there. I wished that Stern didn't take so long to realize that he was in love with his best friend.

Ellie and U also had a wonderful story of a typical man refusing to listen and getting upset over something stupid. He then caused them a lot of wasted years that they could have just been together.
All in all I loved both Books.

Hot Mess by Madeline A Rosenberg

I found this book to be every where. I had a difficult time following the story line. Anna is your typical girl after a break up but I think deep down she had more emotions to this. She was one of those girls that needed to be saved. I personally don't deal well with these types of females. We are the creators of our own lives and we right our own stories to read about someone who is incapable of doing so just doesn't do it for me. This would be a good young adult novel but I don't see it making contemporary romance. It has multiple characters that is constantly moving between. It was just a bit to much teen drama for me even though they were in their twenties.
Book given to me as a request to give my honest review by the author.

Twice a Hero, Always Her Man by Marie Ferrarella

Mommas know best

I absolutely adore the matchmaking mommas! They crack me up every time. I was wondering exactly where they were gonna get the couple for the next match. Ellie and Colin are wonderful together. The immediate chemistry was admirable. Yet the guilt of not knowing how to deal with complexities of the relationship was strongly encouraging. How the couple overcome the circumstances was wonderful. I love a heartfelt happy ending.

Hot Fusion by Shana Gray

I absolutely adored this little short book. My only issue with it was it just wasn't long enough! The story between Kara and Max was Hot and exciting. The chemistry was off the charts and always had been. Even years later no one else could make them feel the sparks they felt together. If you are wanting a something short to read and like steamy hot romance than this is definitely your book.

Grayson by Delores Fossen

Suspenseful Addictive captivating

Grayson and Eve's story took my breath away from the very beginning. They pulled me right in within the very first conversation. The chemistry between them was wonderful. This story was so captivating and addicting with every twist and turn. I couldn't put it down. I loved the suspense of the journey to find out who killed Nina and who was trying to kill Eve. You never know that something as innocent as pictures can put you in so much danger. The shocking events that take place through out this book were a great introduction to the Lawman of Silver Creek Ranch series. I can not wait to get the entire series and read them.

You Are Invited by Holly Jacobs

Heartwarmingly entertaining. I loved this book in the Ridge Valley Romance series.
Mattie and Finn are wonderful together. I am so glad they finally seen that. The passion they have for the children is so heartfelt and real. I know that circumstances that would normally drive people apart is what brought them together. These two are so opposite of each other but had a common ground of making the children happy and making sure they felt loved. Raising someone else's child is not ever an easy task. You constantly wonder if you are handing the situation correctly. Are you being to harsh or not harsh enough. Well Mattie found a way to accomplish the perfect balance and include Finn in the decisions she was making. She realized early on that the children's happiness was more important than hers or Finns. That is what made her such a wonderful Aunt/bonus mom! She was exceptional!

Surrendering to the Sherriff by Delores Fossen

The Intense awareness that Kendall and Aiden feel for each other is unreal. This couple is unable to react on those emotions. The book was shockingly suspenseful. I was changing my mind rapidly through the suspect list when trying to figure out who the bad guy was. This story is wonderfully written and I highly recommend it.

Kendall and Aiden are star crossed Lovers. The families despise each other yet they have been in love with each other as long as they can remember. Neither of them will soberly make the move to cross that path, drunkenly is a whole other ball game.

The Marine Makes His Match by Victoria Pade

I loved the story line of Kinsey and Sutter. I watched the chemistry they had from day one and the experience of them exploring it was wonderful. I loved that the only disagreement they had was because Kinsey was too stubborn to listen to what Sutter was actually saying. This store felt so heartfelt and real. It was astonishing.

A Queen For The Taking by Kate Hewitt

I felt that this book was a bit repetitive for my liking. Sandro and Liana kept repeating the same reasons as to why this couldn't work. I just didn't feel like I was ever gonna get to HEA.

The book had some perks. I just wish it had more of them

Just a Little Bit Married by Teresa Southwick

I absolutely adore Rose and Linc... I have to say that this story is amazing. I haven't literally laughed out loud at a book in a long time! Little Leah is the absolute cutest! I love the feel of the book! These characters truly belong together and the chemistry is out of this world.

Linc is a bit of a stubborn man who refuses to see past his DNA and him not being who he thinks he is.
Rose is a soft hearted woman who was left broken by this man who waltzes back into her life like he never left it.

The story of the two of them working together to complete his condo and get her business out of the dirt is both comical and romantic. The witty banter between the two indescribable. The Love Linc has for his little Sister is an exact match for the relationship my own brother and I have. Its the best bond in the word. I absolutely ADORE this book. If you haven't read it then you definitely need to. Grad your copy today!

The Di Sione Secret Baby by Maya Blake

The Chemistry between Allegra and Rahim was astonishing. I loved her strong will. Allegra isn't a woman to be walked on by anyone. She had to be strong her whole life and rolling over because she has to deal with a hot headed Sheikh isn't going to happen.

Rahim isn't the playboy everyone believes him to be. He just wants to take care of the future of his company. He has plans in place as long as Allegra will play along nicely.

Sexy and thrilling must read.

Turquoise Gaurdian by Jenna Kernan

I absolutely loved the suspense and thrill of this story. The chase and constant life on the run. I did not care for the lack of information at the end. I understand this is going to be a series yet I just don't like being left hanging wondering who the actual face behind BEAR is. I know they have a suspect but I just didn't care for the way it ended. I loved everything about it up till then.

Her Last Chance Hero by Melinda Di Lorenzo

What's a dead man doing walking?

Jordynn lost her fiancé a decade earlier, so who is this man that looks almost identical standing in front of her. Was it possible was he really alive?

I absolutely loved the thrill of this book Jordynn and Donovan constantly on the run. The chase, the twist, and turns were impeccable. This book had enough suspense to keep me very well entertained. I highly recommend it.

Fatal Reunion by Jessica R. Patch

Wonderful, Suspenseful, heart wrenching
Piper and Luke absolutely amazed me. I literally finished this book in one setting. I LOVED it. It made me want to search all of Jessica's books and read them immediately. I got lucky and had 3 on hand.
You will not be sorry if you like Christian Romance and Suspense. This book is right up your alley!
All though these books are stand alone by Jessica I do recommend you still read them in order!

Concealed Identity by Jessica R. Patch

I wanted to read Holt's story from the first time I met him while he was undercover in a sports bar. Reading about him in his cousin Bryn's story next still didn't leave me satisfied till I got his story in Concealed Identity.

Holt is great at his job. He is charismatic and wonderful at what he does. Getting Blair to open up to him was more complicated than he thought it would be. Holt was more personally invested in this case than he ever thought possible.

I loved the suspense in this story. I also loved how Jessica's charater's always rely on GOD to lead them or find a way back to him.

Loved it wonderful read. Can't wait for the next one.

Operation Alpha by Justine Davis

Not your typical suspense….

Once Cutter," the smart alien in a dog suit" sets his eyes on you its over. You will have to do as he says or he will never let you live it down. So Liam knows he is in trouble once he realizes those eyes are on him. Cutter is the MOST valuable member of the Foxworth team and you will not get away with ignoring his wishes.

I am a huge fan of the Foxworth series yet somehow this one seemed more of a Heartwarming story than a suspense story. I loved the read but I felt that it was in the wrong category up until the last few chapters. Once I got to them I found the suspense in the novel. It is read worthy but do go looking at this book with eyes set a great suspenseful read.

Nanny Bodyguard by Lisa Childs

Nikki has some issues with disrespect from the male sex. I enjoyed the chemistry between her and Lars but I felt she needed to not care so much about what others thought. I liked the story itself I loved how they tried so hard to protect Blue. I would like to read more from Lisa as I am looking forward to Dane's story.

The Colton's Secret Son by Carla Cassidy

Secrets, Lies, Evil Mothers, and small town life.

All these years Allison had managed to keep Cody a secret from Knox for several reasons in which fell apart with one single look. Knox had always been betrayed by females yet Allison was the one that cut the deepest, cheating on him and then keeping his son from him was more than he could ever forgive her for.

The suspense in this novel had many different directions. Many perps could have been our kidnapper. The read had its ups and downs and was an okay story but I personally don't enjoy books with danger to children. Therefore I probably wouldn't read it again. It was well written just not one for me.

A Cowboy to Keep by Karen Rock

Dani has a past better left hidden. How is she supposed to maintain that with the Cowboy Bounty Hunter running loose on the Texas Ranch in which she manages. Having Jack around is a good thing when it comes to protecting her guest, but a bad thing when it comes to her past. Jack sees things in simple black and white. He sees no shades of gray.

Jack is hiding things as well so what could that possibly be? Who is he?

Jack trust no one until the prove to be innocent. He will find his criminal at all cost and any others that get in his way. He can't get involved with Dani because he has nothing to offer her. His quest for his brother's killer takes up his entire life. Once he catches them he MAY be able to move forward with his life and allow other people into his world.

Everyone makes mistakes judging someone when your own path isn't so clean is hypocritical.

Baby Talk and Wedding Bells by Brenda Harlen

I love Cassie. She has went through many heartaches in life. I admire her strength. The fact that she has lost every one she has loved explains her hesitancy to fall in love with Braden. Every one who has ever told her they cared left in one fashion or another.

Then Braden refusing to fall in love because his wife walked away from the one thing she supposedly wanted more than anything. I will never understand a mother walking away from a child. So many people face the troubles she faced yet once they find the happiness of having a child they want to stay. So Braden's fear of falling for another woman that could leave him and Seige is completely understandable. The Garrett clan is amazing. I can't wait to read more of them.

My mind set

Once upon a time I did reviews to tell you what I thought about the romance novels I read. I am going to try and get back on board with doing this again. It may take me some time but I think it will help me keep up with how many books I read this year. So if you would like an opinion on a book stay tuned to my blog.

Wishes At First Light by Joanne Rock

I fell in love with this series in book one Promises Under a Peachtree. Heartache, TN is a small town that will absolutely astonish you and take your breath away. Seeing as I am originally from TN I absolutely love how Joanne describes this town. It makes me want to visit it so bad. I honestly get the debt of feeling like I know all the characters personally.

Getting to read Gabbys story is priceless. With everything she has been through in life her story will rock you to the core. Gabby is nothing if not a survivor. The ordeals she faced as a teenager made her the strong willed woman she was today! Her story makes a quote from the book perfectly adequate. "It only takes one voice-at just the right pitch-to start an avalanche." You can run from your past but sometimes it takes coming home to find happiness and closure. The past will always be there you just have to find a way to push through it.

Then you have Clayton who has cared for Gabby all along but never knew how to approach it at the right time. So he set his life path to find family members that his father left in different parts of the country, eventually he gave up looking for more. Once he returns he finds another sister who needs his help as well as Gabbys.

This book has so much depth. The pain Gabby and Clay face before they make their way back to each other is so real. I absolutely loved it as well as the characters. Joanne Rock this is another amazing book in this series. You always leave me wanting more. I love how even in her HSE Joanne still leaves a little suspense. This little series is one you absolutely do not want to miss.
