Review: Appalachian Prey

Appalachian Prey Appalachian Prey by Debbie Herbert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Appalachain Prey is a second chance romance slash suspense. This story actually surprised me. I had the sinister culprit picked entirely wrong. Debbie Herbert kept me on my toes. She left me with so much to think about while reading. I loved it.

Lilah came home after the demise of her father to tie up family affairs only to be put in the middle of a bloody feud. She had a secret that she wasn't ready to openly share with the entire clan. She needed to decide if she wanted to share her secret with her ex or walk away and let him live the life he choose over their relationship.

Harlan is a detective running for sheriff and needs to figure out a way to get the job he wants and win back the woman who drives him crazy. He must protect her from her family and prove they have been behind the crimes currently plaguing his county.

This was an amazing read I couldn't put it down. I can not wait to get my hands on the next book by Debbie Herbert.

Review: Yuletide Baby Bargain

Yuletide Baby Bargain Yuletide Baby Bargain by Allison Leigh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yuletide Baby Bargain is the 17th book in the Return to Double C Ranch mini series by Allison Leigh. A second chance romance involving frienemies and a baby. This book will pull at your heart strings. I wanted to drive to the Double C and pick baby Layla up myself and keep her. A poor orphan baby and no one knows where she came from.

The love hate relationship that Linc and Maddie have stems from a misunderstanding a decade ago. Of course just being in each other's company brings it all back. They must find a way to make it work for Layla's sake though.

Review: The Baby Merger

The Baby Merger The Baby Merger by Yvonne Lindsay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Baby Merger by Yvonne Lindsay is the third book in the little secrets mini series by Harlequin. I started this mini series mid way and went back to read the ones I had missed. Don't stress they do not have to be read in order and are completely stand alone books. I adored Sally and Kirk.

Sally had a great drive to better herself and work toward her goals and not have them handed to her. She did not want to be handed her future on a silver spoon.

Kirk worked all his life to get where he is today. So when a childhood family friend ask for his help he will no matter the cost. Even if he may loose his heart and mind to the friends daughter.

This book is lovely. Kirk and Sally have some amazing sexual chemistry.

Review: Finding Freedom

Finding Freedom Finding Freedom by Brittany Nicole Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Finding Freedom by Brittany Nicole Lewis is the first book in The Zion Series. This book is so inspiring. I felt if I was right beside Katie with some of her questions. Not because I come from a place like Zion but just because I was never properly taught some of the things she questions. Katie is very eye opening for me and I am so glad I got to listen to her and her families story.

Review: No Longer a Dream

No Longer a Dream No Longer a Dream by Carole Mortimer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have steered away from Presents for a while now because I couldn't handle the over bearing Prince or Sheikh who thought they could just take what they want. This one absolutely shocked me. I am so glad I decided to give this book a try. I didn't get the results that had previously caused me to run. I got a satisfyingly great story! I couldn't put this book down.

A heartbroken virgin being tracked by a billionaire who fell in love at first sight. This book is amazing. I probably would have strangled the over bearing son in this book though. He was bit much. A 19 year old child who wanted to pretend to be a man but still act 2. Cat definitely has more patience and control than me.

Review: The Prince's Cinderella Bride

The Prince's Cinderella Bride The Prince's Cinderella Bride by Amalie Berlin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed my journey into the life of royalty and doctors. Anais has had a rough life becoming a princess. She definitely makes me not want to ever have to go through such an ordeal. Being an outsider is always hard yet when an entire country makes you feel that way it is horrible. Prince Quinn tries to protect her but its to little to late. This second chance romance of watching the Prince and Princess rekindle the flames of a burnt torch is very heartfelt.

Review: Little Secrets: Unexpectedly Pregnant

Little Secrets: Unexpectedly Pregnant Little Secrets: Unexpectedly Pregnant by Joss Wood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been enjoying getting to know the Ballantyne family and my visits to the Den. The emotional turmoil between Sage and Tyce was astronomical. They really keep each other on their toes. This second chance romance will blow you away. Both the hero and heroine are best at pushing other people away but for some reason they can not seem to get enough of each other. Anytime one of them walks into a room sets the other one's world on fire. You do not want to miss this one even if you have missed the rest of this series. It is phenomenal. I can not wait to get my hands on Lach's story. Her and Reme are going to make quite a pair.

Review: Rough Rider

Rough Rider Rough Rider by B.J. Daniels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rough Rider by B.J. Daniels is the third installment in the Whitehorse, Montana McGraw Kidnapping series. I have enjoyed this series and getting to know the McGraw family. Boone and C.J. are no different. They each play a special part in seeing this series come together. I loved the intense story line of trying to find out who committed a 25 year old crime.

This is a book about a cold case that has been reopened in the beginning of the series. Boone and C.J. are not only trying to find out who kidnapped his baby sister but trying to figure out who murdered C.J.'s partner. A small town PI and a ranching cowboy go along ways to find out exactly what happened to the people they love.

This series is wonderful. I hope to get to read Jesse Rose and Tough's stories soon.

Review: Protector's Instinct

Protector's Instinct Protector's Instinct by Janie Crouch
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love a visit with the Omega Sector family! Janie Crouch has fastly became one of my favorite authors. Zane and Caroline's story was perfect. The angst and heartache in this second chance romance is breath taking. Watching them fight back to the amazing couple the once could have been. They know each other's every move but let life's circumstances tare them apart.

The connection they share helps them in so many ways. The love of one look and can completely destroy angry words. This couple came through some seriously hard times. I loved the thrill of being chased through the rough terrain and surviving. Janie kept us on our toes.

Review: Dangerous Moves

Dangerous Moves Dangerous Moves by Karen Rock
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As an avid Karen Rock fan and suspense junky of course I had to take the time to read Dangerous Moves. I was left in aww. This is a new genre for Rock. I knew I had always loved her work but I was a bit skeptical how I was going to feel seeing this side of her. I must say I don't regret it. She wrote this marvelously.

I felt myself drawn to wanting to know what was going to happen with Reese and Blake. Being an undercover cop and falling for your suspects daughter can get very tricky. The suspense slash romance read perfectly. I honestly am already dying for the next book in this new series. I dunno If I am going to be able to go back to the heartfelt sweet romance I am so use to from her.

Christmas in a Small Town by Kristina Knight

Christmas in a Small Town Christmas in a Small Town by Kristina Knight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Christmas in a Small Town by Kristina Knight is the fourth installment to the Slippery Rock mini series. I absolutely adore this town and every time I visit I am blown away. I would love to live in this place. Kristina always brings it to such life. I feel like I am right there in the midst of it all. Then the fact that is Levi's story on top of it just takes my breathe away. I feel her name should have been Jessica instead of Camden (my boyfriends name is Levi so I feel she should have been me) This book is a friends to lovers romance. If you have not visisted Slippery Rock you need to go grab the entire series from Harlequin or Amazon!!! You will not be dispointed.

The Happiness PactThe Happiness Pact by Liz Flaherty

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The happiness pact by liz Flaherty is a great read about friends who become more.. You know that relationship where you have depended on someone so much your entire life you. That person that you always turn to except with a secret so horrid you hate admitting it to yourself well long anyone else. That is exactly how Tucker and Libby are. This book is so amazing. It touches on some very real emotional issues that may hit a little to close to home for some. I am so glad I got the opportunity to read this one. I can not wait for more from Liz Flaherty.
